Organic, Organic, Organic.....

 

When we  purchased a 40 acre fallow hay field near Cross Village in 2014, we decided the time was right to make the transition to certified organic.  Who doesn't like paper work?    In July, 2015 we became NOP certified!

 

Our approach is holistic: we believe that the best quality produce is the result of the best soil.  We work hard to build our soil in a natural way, through the use of cover crops, crop rotation,  compost, leaf litter and natural fertilizers such as greensand, rock phosphate and fish emulsion.  We do not use pesticides or herbicides, as we believe you are what you eat!
